Brace yourselves people, because the next wave of gadgets and smartphones are going to hit the market very soon. Yes, after the tsunami that hit Las Vegas in the name of CES 2013, it’s now time for the Mobile World Congress 2013. The event is scheduled for February 25, 2013 at Barcelona and is expected to witness a hiatus of gadgets and devices roll out. So as a roundup, here’s a list of companies that will participate and supposedly releases their respective devices.
Though Nokia has assured of a keynote event, information on products it is most likely to roll out is still under speculation. The rumored products to rollout include a brand Nokia tablet, supposedly powered by Windows RT, a Snapdragon processor and a 10 inch screen. It may also release a newer version of its flagship devices like the PureView that celebrates its first anniversary at the event’s date, or a fresh version of Nokia Lumia codenamed Catwalk.
LG has been eagerly awaiting this event, but, it is still unclear of what it will unveil. As far as the speculations are concerned, LG may most probably release their first wave of flagship smartphones that sport diverse screen sizes. Reports claim that the company may even revive and release a model of its tablet series at the event. And information on a possible Optimus G2 still remains blur.
After an impressive display of smartphones and tablets at the CES2013, the company may sustain its rollout-run at the Mobile World Congress as well. The event may witness the launch of Sony’s next lineup of smartphones, which are supposedly the C530X and C550X. Codenamed as HuaShan and Dogo respectively, the smartphones will sport a quad core processor and run on Android Jelly Bean 4.1.
After being almost mute at the Consumer Exhibition Show 2013, it is expected that HTC will make a roaring debut of the much anticipated M7 smartphone. The company has also planned to conduct a private event ahead of the Mobile Congress event, which further heats up rumors on M7 roll out. The device will supposedly sport a 5inch screen and other solid specifications.
The company that has carved a spot for it in the market is expected to unveil its Galaxy S2 Plus, Galaxy Note 8.0 at the event. Even a lineup of mid-range devices are on the cards with the probable launch of Galaxy Y Duos and Galaxy Frame. A big disappointment is that the much awaited S4 will not make it to this event as well.
So, that was the roundup. Let’s hope the event throws in some surprises and reveals those gadgets we really long for and that 2013 emerges out as the ‘future’ everyone was hoping to see!
