What looks like an official press image sparks up debate on its authenticity. We don’t know if it’s true or just a fan made, but here’s what we‘ve got. The latest leak shows the image of the all new Samsung Galaxy S4, with revamped looks on the right hand side, and complete information on the product’s specification bulleted on the left hand side. The image shows that the Korean based company has chosen to fully alter the way the phone looks from the front, replacing the traditional home screen with a pair of speakers. The render also reveals the presence of the camera shutter on the right bezel. Overall, the phone looks metallic and quite elongated (our interpretation).
The specs sheet on the left portion of the image shows the phone running on a quad core A15 Exynos processor at 2.0GHz, 2GB of RAM, ARM Mali graphical unit and powered by the 4.2 version of the Android Jelly Bean. The device sports two cameras; a 13MP camera at the rear end and a 2MP camera in the front. According to the specifications, the screen measures 5inches and is built over a third generation Corning Gorilla glass. On the connectivity front, the phone sports Bluetooth 5.0, 4G LTE, expandable memory options and Wi-Fi. It is expected to have an extended lifespan, thanks to the 3100mAh battery.
Rumors have been that the company has planned to send invites to a press event, and speculatively unveil the device on March 15. The phone may hit the stores in April. So if things were to go according to the rumors, the device will witness limelight after the Mobile World Conference 2013, scheduled for February 25, and much ahead of the delayed BlackBerry devices.
So, let’s hope the rumors turn true and the device really makes a debut this March!
